Premier League teams may be changing their jerseys for the first matches. There is a call for supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.
The plan would be to take out the players’ names. The Black Lives Matter slogan would replace the names. Then, the Black Lives Matter badge would go next to the NHS honor badge.
Every team would wear this special jersey for their first match of the Return Project. The season was approved to resume after all clubs unanimously agreed to the return. The first teams to wear it would be Aston Villa, Sheffield United, Arsenal and Manchester City.
All teams are following protocols and matchday operation plans. That includes limiting how many people are in the stadiums.
All remaining 92 matches will be televised. Also, 33 of them will be free to air.
In other words, if Premier League approves of changing their jerseys, the stance for Black Lives Matter will be widely spread. Teams may even opt for everyone to kneel before the game to support the movement, similar to what Liverpool did in their first team practice.
