We’re going to take a look at the best possible fits for all of the major quarterbacks in the 2020 NFL Draft. Sometimes it’s not about talent, it’s about fit. Finding the right home for each prospect could be crucial for success. Let’s try to find the best home we can for each quarterback prospect in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Joe Burrow – Panthers

In a perfect world, Burrow just pairs with Joe Brady at the NFL level, right? Burrow was historic this past year for LSU. 60 touchdowns and a National Championship. Doesn’t get much better than that. What would be better than playing for the same offensive coordinator that helped him do it?

Tua Tagovailoa – Vikings

I can just imagine how deadly Tua could be in a heavy play action system and a play caller like Gary Kubiak? The Shanahan type system would be perfect for Tua. He would also have some nice toys in place with Dalvin Cook, Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen, Kyle Rudolph, and Irv Smith. He could also sit for a year behind Kirk Cousins and really have the Vikings focus on improving the offensive line. Will it happen? NOPE. I think Carolina would be a great fit for Tua too. Same with Dallas.

Justin Herbert – Chargers

I’m not a Herbert guy, but I think the Chargers are the home for him. Herbert is a west coast guy so he gets to stay out there. Oregon is all he knows so the Chargers are about as close as it gets. Herbert is also a guy who relies on the short passing game. Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen, and Hunter Henry help in that aspect. Add in a red zone threat like Mike Williams. Tyrod Taylor is a good veteran place holder too. The Chargers don’t have a real head coach but have the necessary athletes for Herbert.

Jordan Love – Raiders

You know Jon Gruden has been licking his chops for his version of Pat Mahomes. Love is a big arm talent that can make throws that Gruden will smile about. Gruden probably believes he can coach the flaws out of him while giving Derek Carr one more year to prove he can be the guy for a longer period of time.

Jacob Eason – Buccaneers

What does Bruce Arians love to do? Push the ball down the field. You can talk yourself into Jacob Eason becoming Carson Palmer. Eason throws a great deep ball and Arians loves dialing up shots down the field. Match made in heaven here.

Jalen Hurts – Ravens

The Ravens have drafted Marquise Brown, Mark Andrews, Orlando Brown, and Ben Powers from Oklahoma the past two years. They want players from this system. Jalen Hurts fits what they want to do as a back up quarterback and offensive weapon. You know they give Hurts the best chance to thrive.

Jake Fromm – Falcons

Play half your games in a dome! That’s a good way to worry less about hand size and arm strength. Matt Ryan doesn’t have a big arm and he’s made it work in Atlanta. Jake Fromm would be a nice development piece for the Falcons as Ryan continues to decline in the future. Fromm gets to stay in Georgia too.
