The time has come–the final week of the fantasy football regular season (unless your league sucks and plays in Week 18). To cap off the regular season, who are a few fantasy football breakout candidates for Week 14 of the 2024 NFL Season? Let’s examine three players!
With Taysom Hill out for the season, adding to the injuries already in the receiving room, I’m looking at Juwan Johnson to have a productive fantasy week. He’s scored just two touchdowns this season and has 39 receptions for 313 yards. He’s had at least two receptions in every game since Week 3, but he’s only cracked the stop-15 in fantasy tight ends just once over that span. The New York Giants have been sturdy against tight ends, and the Saints will likely look to have plenty of success on the ground, but I think Johnson could be in line to have his best game of the season Sunday in the passing game.
The only reason why I have Cousins on here is the revenge game factor. He hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass since Week 9 and has thrown six combined interceptions with less than 12 fantasy points in each of his last three games. He will also be going up against a very lethal Vikings pass rush. He’s not startable, but worth mentioning as a “potential” breakout candidate if Atlanta falls behind and needs to air it out.
Wilson hasn’t been very productive since Davante Adams‘ arrival, including recording just 14 catches for 100 yards and zero scores in each of his last three games. That’s well-below expectation for him, even with a struggling Aaron Rodgers behind center. I’m not a believer in this Dolphins secondary, which has been pretty mediocre this season. Will Wilson get back to the norm in Week 14?
