The tackle and guard rankings are done. No, we won’t have full profiles for all the centers either because of time constraints. However, it’s a pretty good class and teams should have no problem finding their next center if they prioritize doing so. Let’s get right into the 2023 NFL Draft center rankings!
5: Juice Scruggs (Penn State)
Just all around solid. Not going to pancake anyone but will hold his own. Team captain at Penn State. Can play guard too. You can do worse than this juice.
4: Jarrett Patterson (Notre Dame)
I thought he really looked good at the Combine. Patterson was a team captain at Notre Dame too. A school that has put out quality offensive linemen in the past. Short arms and not the best athlete but guy holds his own.
3: John Michael Schmitz (Minnesota)
We do have this profile. You love the wrestling background. I’m lower on him than most because I think the pure athleticism is overstated. 5.35 for a nimble center isn’t good. Just a former 3-star recruit and on the older side at 24 already. What if he’s just a stronger Garrett Bradbury? How high you going there? Not the next Tyler Linderbaum. That’s for sure.
2: Luke Wypler (Ohio State)
Ohio State has a great track record putting centers out. Josh Myers and Corey Linsley are two great examples of that. Bit undersized but really athletic. Will be an ace at any pulling situations. 29 bench press reps quite the strength concerns.
1: Olusegun Oluwatimi (Michigan)
The only reason Luke Wypler didn’t make the first team All-Big Ten team is right here. Oh, Oluwatimi also won Big Ten Player of the Year, offensive player of the Year, Rimington, and Outland trophies. He’s the best center in the class and you’re an absolute fool if you think anyone else is close to as good.
We have his profile right here!
