2023 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets: Week 10

The fantasy football waiver wire has some interesting options as we head into Week 10 of the 2023 NFL Season. It certainly is not the best week, but we have a few players that could provide value. This week’s edition of fantasy football waiver wire targets does include players from last week as well since there was no post.

The following players were fantasy football waiver wire targets in previous weeks and are still worth an addition if available.

Joshua Dobbs — 16.4%

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Joshua Dobbs had one hell of a week. It began with him being traded from the Cardinals to the Vikings. Without any first-team reps, he was thrust into action because rookie Jaren Hall suffered a concussion.

In his only game with Minnesota, Dobbs went 20-for-30 with 158 yards and two touchdowns. On top of that, he added 66 yards and touchdowns on the ground. That is good enough for him to be a waiver wire target.

As the season progresses, Dobbs can continue to put up points as a Viking. The Vikings are a pass-heavy offense that will give Dobbs plenty of opportunities. The Vikings are 5-4 and Justin Jefferson is eligible to be activated, which makes Dobbs’ ceiling even higher.

In two-quarterback leagues, Dobbs is definitely worth an addition and can be a valuable player. If you play in a one-quarterback league, Dobbs is a quality streaming option.

Demario Douglas — 21.9%

New England Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas had an opportunity to break out in Week 9. It was not anything special, but he finished fifth with five catches for 55 yards.

The New England Patriots receiver core took a massive hit as Kendrick Bourne tore his ACL. That gives Douglas the chance to carve himself a bigger role in the offense.

I do not think Douglas will light the NFL on fire; however, the fantasy football waiver wire is slim at receiver. That makes Douglas valuable depending on your needs.

Will Levis — 38.3%

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis was a popular waiver-wire addition last week after a four-touchdown performance. The issue is that Levis did not perform at a high level against the Steelers in his second outing.

I do not see any reason to abandon Levis. The Steelers have a quality defense. That is not a game where he should be expected to put up a massive fantasy number. As the season progresses, his strength of competition should lighten up.

Levis is still worth an addition. The Kentucky product has massive arm talent and will likely hit deep shots down the field. Not to mention, he may provide some rushing upside.

Trey McBride — 43.3%

The tight end position has been rough in 2023. Thankfully, we have some reasonable options available on the fantasy football waiver wire. Let’s start with Cardinals tight end Trey McBride.

Similar to Levis, McBride broke out two games ago and fell back to earth last week. Although, it should be noted Clayton Tune started last week. Once Kyler Murray returns, the Cardinals’ offense will improve and McBride will be more valuable.

If you need a tight end, I do not see why McBride is not worth the pickup. That said, if Taysom Hill is still available, I’d add him instead.

Jonnu Smith — 27.1%

The final fantasy football waiver wire target for this week is another tight end. This time, it is Jonnu Smith.

It seems like every week, people complain that Arthur Smith is not utilizing his talented players- specifically Kyle Pitts. Well, instead of complaining, why not add the guy he is force-feeding?

Smith finished Week 9 with five catches for 100 yards and a touchdown. That is a pretty good night for a tight end.

I say it is time to add Smith while the Falcons feed him instead of Pitts.
