2022 NFL Mock Draft Simulator: Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are the next team going into the 2022 NFL Mock Draft Simulator. I find the Chiefs in a fascinating position after the trade sending Tyreek Hill to Miami. Brett Veach is a very good general manager… but the guy has his work cut out.

The Chiefs pick 29 and 30 in the first round. Ideally, you want to replace Hill right away. However, the two guys in this draft best suited to do so (Chris Olave & Garrett Wilson) won’t be on the board when KC picks. You also don’t want to diminish the return on the Hill deal so trading up feels unwise.

The good news is the Chiefs have their quarterback and an overall strong roster. A strong draft keeps the Chiefs in the Super Bowl bubble until further notice. I feel like I have a good plan. Will the Chief fans agree? That part is to be determined.

What does this team really need? It’s pretty strong everywhere minus a lot of parts on defense. Ideally, that would get a big overhaul but there is only so much we can do in one draft. Especially after we just lost a horse like Hill is.
