2021 NFL Draft War Room: Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks originally held the 23rd overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, they will be sent to the Jets as part of the Jamal Adams trade. With limited draft capital, can Seattle bolster this roster to the place it needs to get to hang in the NFC West? Let’s head inside the war room!

  • Round 2, Pick No. 56 overall
  • Round 4, Pick No. 129 overall
  • Round 7, Pick No. 250 overall

Yeah, this post isn’t going to take long. Seattle gave away most of their picks in a flurry of trades that netted Jamal Adams, Gabe Jackson, and Carlos Dunlap. John Schneider has his work cut out for him.

In the second round, it’s time to nail a real pass rusher. You know, something Seattle hasn’t had since Cliff Avril retired. We know the deal with Seattle now. Who’s the weirdest player you can take? How about Payton Turner at Houston? Turner has some speed off the edge with an 84 inch wingspan. Could he recreate what Bruce Irvin gave them years ago?

Losing Shaq Griffin at corner to the Jags sucks. Going back to the well would make a lot of sense in round 4. Trill Williams or Tre Brown could be an option in the 4th round.

There’s not much more to say. When you only have 3 picks in a draft, you’re not in the most favorable position. The Jamal Adams trade is a full blown disaster. This roster is heading down the toilet quick and now there’s no picks to replenish the talent. Good luck!
