Howie Roseman crushed the spirits of the fans before the 2021 NFL Draft ever began. The Eagles have moved down from 6 to 12 in the draft but did collect a future first round pick in the process. It’s hard to hate that thought process, but the pressure is on Howie to hit at 12. Let’s head inside the war room.

Round 1: No. 12 overall (from 49ers, through Dolphins)
Round 2: No. 37
Round 3: No. 70, No. 84 (from Colts)
Round 4: No. 123 (from Dolphins)
Round 5: No. 150
Round 6: No. 189, No. 224, No. 225
Round 7: No. 234, No. 240 (from 49ers)

Like a drunk recently single bachelor sitting at a club, Howie Roseman has a chance to turn this night around. Turn this place upside down. Throw another shot our way, friend. We got picks!

I think DeVonta Smith is the play here. Jalen Hurts has no shot to become a legit franchise quarterback. Howie has reached and whiffed on the last two wide receivers he’s drafted early. JJ Arcega-Whiteside can’t play and taking Jalen Reagor over Justin Jefferson was as egregious as it gets. Moving down and grabbing Smith feels like a win.

That’s not the Howie Roseman way. Will anybody be surprised if they take Sage Surratt and Jamie Newman in the first two rounds? Roseman can’t be trusted. The last Pro Bowler the Eagles drafted was… Carson Wentz? Nevermind, he’s not on the roster anymore. This team is in TROUBLE.

The Eagles have holes everywhere. We’re still waiting for Zach Ertz to be dealt. They have ZERO linebackers. Fletcher Cox is the only player on the roster with value. Things are ugly in the city of brotherly love.
