2021 NFL Draft War Room: Los Angeles Chargers

2021 NFL Draft

The Los Angeles Chargers enter the 2021 NFL Draft with some certainty at the quarterback position, but almost nowhere else. There’s a new coach in town. We have no idea how good he is. Hell, they might even move the team again? Having said that the roster is still in really good shape so this team should be in contention. Hey, Anthony Lynn is gone too! Let’s head inside the war room.

  • Round 1: No. 13 overall
  • Round 2: No. 47
  • Round 3: No. 77, No. 97
  • Round 4: No. 118
  • Round 5: No. 159
  • Round 6: No. 185, No. 198
  • Round 7: No. 241

Pretty much straight down the board except and extra pick in the third round and sixth round.

The left tackle spot is an eye sore. Trey Pipkins gotta go. I can bench more than that guy and I’m just a washed up blogger. #SAD. In a perfect world, do the Chargers go Rashawn Slater? Maybe they have to move up a few spots to make it happen. So be it.

The Chargers have really put in work to fix this offensive line. Matt Feiler and Corey Linsley were both brought in this offseason. Give them a franchise left tackle and we’re cooking with peanut oil now!

What happened to this cornerback group? Casey Hayward is gone. They never replaced Jason Verrett, to begin with. It’s Chris Harris and a bunch of nobody’s. Kelvin Joseph in round two would make a lot of sense. The former LSU transfer balled out this year at Kentucky. He’s a big corner with some ball skills. Could fit in nicely.

The Chargers could probably use one more linebacker too. BJ Bello, Kyzir White, and Kenneth Murray are the projected starters right now. We can do better or at least add to it. Baron Browning at Ohio State could be a great fit. He’s a fast linebacker that gets to where he needs to be and thumps.
