Will Zack Moss ever figure it out? While it’s probably not time to panic after a so-so rookie season, it’s now or never for the Bills running back. If Moss were to take a step forward, god does he have big time sneaky sleeper fantasy potential.
The former Utah running back averaged 4.3 yards per carry on the season scoring four touchdowns on 112 attempts. The question is will Josh Allen continue to steal those rushing touchdowns? A year ago, Allen had eight rushing scores. It’s hard for Moss to ever become super valuable if things stay that way. However, if Moss can become that vulture, we’re talking about a real fantasy steal.
At the moment, I’m not even sure Moss is better than Devin Singletary. When I say that, I say that knowing Singletary isn’t very good.
Missed tackles forced per carry: Moss 0.19 (No. 14); Singletary 0.21 (No. 9)
Yards per carry: Moss 4.3 (No. 27); Singletary 4.4 (No. 25)
Yards after contact per rush: Moss 2.9 (No. 25); Singletary: 3.2 (No. 11)
If Moss can become the lead back in Buffalo and really cash in on those touchdowns, the fantasy value will be there. Especially in Buffalo. This is a very good football team that should have leads late in games. The offensive line is also a positive.
It might be time to keep an eye on Zack Moss. Look, maybe it’s nothing but this is the sort of flier you should be willing to take if you are in need of a running back.
