WWE Rumor Roundup (10/20/22): Former AEW star backstage at WWE events?

This is a reminder that these are, in fact, rumors. They are potential news stories surrounding the WWE based on reports. They have yet to be confirmed. WWE seems to have a lot of rumors surrounding current AEW talent this week.

• Fightful Select recently reported that Bobby Fish was seen backstage at multiple WWE tapings of late. The specific tapings were said to be NXT related. Fish most recently was a member of the AEW roster before being released. Fish has ties to WWE where he was formerly apart of legendary NXT stable, Undisputed Era.
• It was reported by Fightful Select that current AEW and former WWE star Billy Gunn was considered to appear on WWE Monday Night RAW. Gunn would have been joining his fellow members of DX to celebrate their 25th anniversary. During the celebration, the group gestured to the crowd to say his name in his absence.

AEW Rumor Roundup (10/19/22): CM Punk plans revealed?

• According to Fightful Select, it seems Vince McMahon had no interest in bringing Saraya, formerly known as Paige in WWE, back to the company while he was still acting CEO. Saraya was forced to retire from in-ring competition in 2017 due to injury, but it seems she might be making her return in ring soon for AEW.
• In the same category as the rumor above, it was also reported by Fightful Select that Saraya was given an interesting offer from new head of talent relations Triple H. According to the report, they wanted to bring her back in an on-screen General Manager role. It was said they were also open to pursuing an in-ring return. It seems as if she passed on the offer and took up Tony Khan instead.
