WWE is looking to go international once again for an upcoming show, according to reports from Sportskeeda Wrestling. The potential show would be held in India, with WWE encouraged by the recent success of ‘Clash at the Castle’ in Cardiff, Wales back in September.
Drew McIntyre has been an avid voice behind bringing the WWE across the globe on a more regular basis. He competed in the main event of WWE Clash at the Castle and has voiced his interest in wrestling for the WWE in India.
The company has not confirmed a date on this proposed event, though it could be held as soon as January 2023. WWE currently has no premium live events scheduled between Survivor Series and Royal Rumble, so this could make sense.
Needless to say, this event would be great for the company. They are only able to reach more audiences as time goes on and they should take full advantage of the opportunity. Wrestling fans from all around the entire world deserve a chance to watch an event live and in person.
If this event does in fact end up taking place in January, we could be in store for an amazing match card. Based off the results from Survivor Series, one would think that Kevin Owens is far from finished with The Bloodline. This event could potentially see Owens challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship if it isn’t planned for WWE Royal Rumble. Meanwhile, McIntyre could be expected on the card based upon his constant support for the potential event.
One could also think that WWE would use this as an opportunity to showcase some Indian talent in their home country. That could create a life time moment for certain fans and superstars.
