The Patriots stink and Robert Kraft is getting old. Would Kraft consider getting out of the game and selling the team? Don’t count on it.
The Pats owner has made one thing very clear. He will never sell. Don’t bother asking.
“Never in my lifetime will we sell this team, and I hope my children keep it going as well because it’s such a unique asset,” Kraft told Rubinstein, via Sports Business Daily. “After my family, I’m very passionate about this team, more than anything else.”
Kraft, 82, purchased the team in 1994. He’s made it clear that he will own the team for as long as he’s alive. The Brookline Massachusetts native also has son Jonathan that’s ready to take over whenever that time comes. The plan of succession is pretty clear here… unlike the actual show Succession. If you get it, you get it.
Since Kraft isn’t going to sell the team, that doesn’t mean that he still doesn’t have decisions to make. What will the Patriots end up doing with Bill Belichick? It’s pretty obvious that Belichick has lost it. Well, I should say lost it in terms of running the team. He can still coach but he needs to keys taken away when it comes to personnel.
Robert Kraft has a serious mess to clean up. He better make sure it’s cleaned up soon or the son is going to have a disaster on his hands when he takes over. I guess the Pats are still in the running for the number one overall pick. Is that what they have to look forward to?
