After reviewing the best stocks to buy on the SimBull NHL market, it’s time to review some of the teams that you should maybe avoid buying. These teams are all stocks that you should avoid for different reasons. Let’s get right down to business.
The present looks semi good but the future looks bleak. The core is aging rapidly. Outside of David Pastrňák and Charlie McAvoy, there are no core players in their prime. Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron are great but for how long? The depth scoring on this team has been non-existent for a long time. There are zero prospects in the system worth talking about.
The window is closing. When it does, things are going to get ugly quick.
The Sharks are the Bruins but more of an extreme example. The Sharks have several horrendous contracts that hamstring their future. It’s also an OLD team that has no shot to be more than a borderline playoff team. That’s being generous.
I don’t have much more to say. Pick a name on the roster and the odds are that they’re grossly overpaid.
The Vegas Golden Knights are not the norm. The Kraken are two years away from being two years away. I’m not sure the Kraken tried to take the Vegas route either. They know they’re not going to be contenders for a while. Seattle is the only team in the league that has lost to Arizona. Seattle may win a cup but that’s not going to happen for another ten years if it happens.
The window is closed. The core they have is banged up and I’m not even sure they’re a playoff team. Sidney Crosby has barely played. Evgeni Malkin hasn’t played at all. Kris Letang is still ugly. I have more faith in weathermen than I do in Tristan Jarry. Hard pass.
Burn it to the ground. We know about the sexual assault stuff going on. It’s going to be a distraction all year. It’s also a bad hockey team. Marc-Andre Fleury looks washed. The Seth Jones deal looks like a disaster. Jonathan Toews may as well be in witness protection. Chicago already fired their head coach. Just steer clear here.
