I’m Worried About Skinny Tua Tagovailoa

I’m Worried About Skinny Tua Tagovailoa

Garrett wrote a hit piece on Dolphins general manager, Chris Grier. The truth of the matter is that Grier has built a flawed roster that will likely come up short again. The only problem is I’m not just worried about Grier anymore. I’m worried about the skinny version of Tua Tagovailoa too.

We know the deal with Tua by now. He has certain strengths and weaknesses. I’ve always been a fan even dating back to high school. At the end of the day, accuracy still matters, and shame on you for doubting the most accurate quarterback the NFL has to offer. You can say whatever you want about Tua but he just led the NFL in passing yards. Nobody has ever led the league in passing yards and sucks.

Sorry, your narrative was wrong. Sorry, you’re just dumb. I’m not sure how to help you.

Except we enter 2024 and Tua is now doing the opposite of everything he did in 2023. Tua finally played in every game staying healthy all season. The same guy who might be one bad hit away from retirement. After bulking up and even taking classes, this year he’s dropping all the weight in an effort to be more agile.

Tyreek Hill made fun of Tua claiming that he might be taking Ozempic.

Jaylen Waddle also chimed in and said that he misses chubby Tua and that he should go eat more.

I’m just not sure I understand the logic. The Dolphins are a team that has great speed but that’s not how the game of football is won. The Chiefs dumped Tyreek Hill and won two Super Bowls without him. You don’t just need great quarterback play. Football is a game that’s won at the line of scrimmage. The Dolphins lost Christian Wilkins, Robert Hunt, and did virtually nothing to upgrade a bad offensive line. Oh, and that’s not including losing Vic Fangio who was the one guy in the building that brought accountability to the table in the coaching department.

I don’t trust this team. I want to trust this team but how can you? Everything they do is dumb and this plan by Tua is easily the dumbest plan of all time, especially after coming off a season where he was fully healthy and led the league in passing yards. Now you’re going to do the opposite of what got you there? Does that make any sense?
