When Pat McAfee first joined ESPN, we kinda knew it would be an odd pairing from jump street. Little did we know that the former Colts punter was so damn sensitive. With that in mind, Bill Simmons threw some shade at McAfee. Will McAfee respond or will ESPN prevent him from doing so?
On the latest episode of Simmons’ podcast, he did an impersonation of McAfee. Give old Bill credit. It wasn’t a terrible attempt at mimicking McAfee.
Will McAfee respond? I think that’s the million dollar question. We already know he got his feelings hurt because of a poll by done by the piece of trash publication known as The Athletic. Certainly, this is going to hurt his feelings too.
It would be pretty easy to come back at Simmons and win this battle. All he has to do is point out the fact that Simmons’ primary content consists of how many fingers he can stick in his ass while cranking it on the NBA trade machine. Certainly, ESPN won’t allow him to say that but that’s what I would do.
Before I close, for as much as I don’t like Simmons, he kinda has a point. I am not a viewer of either show. McAfee is certainly talented but all of his talent is mostly wrapped up in a ball of a wiry WWE character presenting a sports show. Not exactly my cup of tea but I understand why some enjoy it. Instead of saying “bro” 800 times a show, maybe mix in some real substance for a change.
