Why The Kansas City Chiefs Will Win Super Bowl LIX

Super Bowl LIX is finally here. The culmination of the 2024-25 NFL Season will come to an end today. Prior to kick off, we’re going to go over a list of reasons why each team can lift the Lombardi Trophy. Here is why the Kansas City Chiefs will emerge victorious and three-peat their way to another championship!

Andy Reid

C’mon, Eagles fans. You’re scared to death of this element. Andy Reid will continue to haunt the Eagles for wrongfully firing him. The karma gods won’t allow Reid to be denied to Philadelphia of all teams.

It’s not just a Reid revenge game. We’re talking about a coach who essentially never loses when he has extra time to prepare. He’s 28-16 in the postseason as a whole and his record is astronomical coming off a bye. With two weeks to prepare, picking against Reid feels like an unwise choice. 22-4 coming off a bye speaks for itself. Not to mention the fact that the Chiefs are the best coached team in the league and they’re essentially perfect this year in one-score games.

Patrick Mahomes

Hard to lose when you have the head coach and quarterback advantage in essentially every game you play. The games against the Bills always come down to the wire because Josh Allen is on Mahomes’ level. I don’t think we can say the same about Jalen Hurts.

What version of Jalen Hurts are we getting and are we positive he can make those throws on third downs to win the game? Mahomes keeps doing the damn thing so why would we bet against them?

Chiefs run defense

If Philadelphia is going to win this game, they need to win the game through the ground. Running the ball against this Chiefs front isn’t a walk in the park. Chris Jones is as good as it gets in the middle. KC was tied for 5th in the NFL in terms of limiting the run. Teams averaged just 4.1 yards per carry against them. Buffalo would have won the game last week if they could have simply closed the deal running the ball last.

Steve Spagnuolo is really the unsung hero of this dynasty run. This team plays incredible defense and it takes a full team effort to take the Chiefs down.

Verdict:

You don’t just have to beat the Chiefs. You have to beat the refs too. Something Philly fans know very well during the last time these two teams play in the Super Bowl with the questionable James Bradberry call. The NFL wants the Chiefs to win. The refs want the Chiefs to win. When you have this kind of advantage at head coach and quarterback, it feels like a no-brainer to just bet on the Chiefs.
