On Dec. 13, 2022, the 413-day reign as NXT Women’s Champion ended for WWE superstar Mandy Rose. The result certainly caught a few people off guard as some believed she was destined to hold on to the title until she became the longest reigning champion in history. Then, the following day, Dec. 14, 2022, it was announced that Rose had been released from her WWE contract.
The news of Rose’s release caught as many people off guard as the result of her title match the night before. It was first reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, with the reason being the type of content posted to Rose’s FanTime account. FanTime is an online platform where creators can produce exclusive content for their fans to purchase via either one-time payments, or a monthly subscription.
Mandy decided to use this platform to produce more explicit content given that WWE is a PG company and has been for a long time. This explicit content, which leaked on to social media following her release, was the reason for why Rose was let go. However, there was some backtracking on WWE’s behalf, stating that Rose’s content affected a sponsorship deal with toy-makers Mattel, as well as being classed as ‘third-party revenue,’ which the company prevents performers from making.
The former NXT Women’s Champion has since come to terms with her release, and it’s not as if the decision was a bad one when it came to her bank balance. In January 2023, FanTime’s official Instagram page announced that Rose had earned herself a cool $1 million in December 2022 alone! Rose has since set up an OnlyFans account which she uses to continue producing her much racier content.
Following her release, Rose appeared on “The Sessions” podcast, hosted by current AEW personality and Mandy’s good friend Renee Paquette. As the dust settled on the controversial exit, Rose finally explained how she found out she had been released, and revealed that she was staying at a fellow NXT star’s house.
That star was Indi Hartwell, who Rose used to stay with from time-to-time. Rose stated that she was so shocked (as was Hartwell) that she didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, and felt like she had been punched. She later stated on The Tamron Hall show that she considered going back to WWE once everything had calmed down, but chose against it.
As previously stated, you can find Mandy Rose on FanTime and OnlyFans, as well being able to buy beauty and skincare products from her company ‘Amarose,’ as well donuts (yes, really) from her ‘DaMandyz Donutz’ company that she runs with WWE Superstar Sonya Deville. However, the donuts are only available to people with an Uber Eats account in the city of Los Angeles, California.
