Why Chris Russo Hates The NFL Games In Germany
Chris Russo is under a lot of heat right now, and rightfully so. Russo deserved to get blasted for the stunt he pulled with the Diamondbacks. However, what’s fair is fair. Russo’s rant on First Take Today was beautiful and couldn’t have been better crafted.
Russo is upset that the NFL is playing in Germany this week. It features a really big game with the Chiefs and Dolphins kicking off at 9:30 am EST. Russo lost it and claims the NFL doesn’t know what they’re doing. The guy does have a point…
“What is the NFL doing,” Russo raged on First Take. “They’re gonna make me wake up at the crack of dawn to watch Chiefs and Dolphins in Frankfurt, Germany?”
“I go to church on Sunday! I take Molly Russo [Dog’s mother] out to brunch,” Russo ranted. “I can’t watch that dopey game! And I want to! But Roger put me in a tough spot! I gotta pray to my God! I can’t be praying to Mahomes and Tua!”
Funny rant. However, Russo left out one crucial element. What about the people who live on the West Coast? Those people have to wake up at 6:30 am if they want to watch that game. That’s totally bananas. I understand that the game is being played in Germany but it’s insane that West Coast people have to watch that game at 6:30 am if they want to see it. Forget about the Church goers, what about the entire West Coast? The Chiefs are in the AFC West too…
