Why Carson Wentz Should Be Viewed As A Successful Draft Pick By The Eagles

It’s story time. I genuinely hate people and today I’m going to show you another reason why. Today the story is about Carson Wentz and why you’re an idiot if you can’t acknowledge that he was a successful draft pick by the Eagles.

The craziest part about this story is the fact that there really is no reason to bring up Wentz. He’s not even in the league anymore. Yet, one loser online did.

A few days ago, I reshared my video on Carlos Rodon. Yes, a guy from a totally different sport. Rodon was terrible this year with the Yankees. I’m not sure what people expected from Rodon but I wasn’t surprised. I thought it was a gross overpay and couldn’t have been less shocked that he sucked with the Yankees.

Instead of people just acknowledging that I was right, one loser online decided that his best comeback was bringing up the fact that Carson Wentz isn’t in the league anymore. You can’t make it up.

A: How embarrassing for this guy. It would be so easy for the general public to give me credit on something that nobody else in the baseball industry predicted. My baseball takes must be pretty good. Guy couldn’t even find something I got wrong MLB wise. Had to go to the NFL for his comeback. What a trash human. Still waiting for people to talk about how right I was about Zack Wheeler too. Don’t worry, I won’t get credit for that either.

B: Carson Wentz was a successful draft pick by the Eagles and it’s not really arguable. The media has decided that quarterbacks are viewed by championships. Tom Brady is the GOAT because he has the most rings. It is what it is.

The bottom line is Wentz is a Super Bowl champion. It’s not arguable. The Eagles also don’t win that Super Bowl without him. Also not arguable. Wentz posted a 33-7 TD to INT ratio in 2017 and was the MVP of the league through 13 weeks of that season. The Eagles do not win the Super Bowl that year without him. Largely because he clinched them home field advantage and a fist round bye.

The Eagles don’t beat the Falcons if that game is in Atlanta. That first round game went down to the final play. The NFC Title Game against Minnesota, Case Keenum ran out of gas after a miracle win the Week before. Nick Foles then played the game of his life against the Patriots and Doug P came up with some genius plays. We also need to recognize that if Wentz isn’t in the building that year, that championship never happens.

C: Every career doesn’t need to last 20 years to be viewed as successful. Father time catches up with everyone. Frankly, I think Wentz can still play but I genuinely believe the Foles thing broke his brain. It’s okay, Russell Wilson got his brain broken too. Ditto Cam Newton. It happens. Ezekiel Elliott was in that same draft class. Am I supposed to pretend he sucked because he got older? Do you see how insane this logic is?

D: Nate Sudfeld is the only other quarterback from that draft class that has a Super Bowl ring. It’s because he was basically a practice squad player for that Eagles team. The Rams had to get rid of Jared Goff to win their Super Bowl. The only other notable QB from that draft class is Dak Prescott who still hasn’t won anything.

Paxton Lynch and Christian Hackenberg were also in that 2016 NFL Draft class. We gotta stop pretending that Wentz was a total bust like those guys. You don’t have to like Wentz but refusing to acknowledge that was a successful pick by the Eagles is just ignorant. Plain and simple.

Even when the haters try to be haters, I still own them. I don’t know who John Stroman is but I want to congratulate him on being an absolute loser while I get to sit at home and work for myself. I’m sure he’s the one killing it!
