When Is Damian Lillard Going To Get Blamed For The Bucks’ Struggles?

Adrian Griffin got thrown to the curb and Milwaukee proceeded to hire Doc Rivers. I just want to know when the finger-pointing is going to be directed toward Damian Lillard. Trading for Lame Time was always the wrong decision and a lot of the problems in Milwaukee stem from his shortcomings.

Keep in mind that Terry Stotts also quit right before the season. Do you actually think that was a coincidence?

The Bucks defense dropped from 4th to 22nd at the time of Griffin’s firing. The only thing on the roster that has really changed was swapping out Jrue Holiday for Lame Time. That is unless you want to put the defensive struggles because the Bucks swapped Grayson Allen for Malik Beasley…

It’s not just the defense. Milwaukee misses Holiday’s rebounding too. Holiday ranks second among all guards with 6.2 rebounds per game. The Bucks aren’t just way worse at the point of attack. They’re giving up more second chances too. Milwaukee led the league in rebounding with 48.6. This year they’re 9th.

Holiday has basically been Marcus Smart except with improved offense. Milwaukee didn’t just make themselves worse. They turned Boston into a true superpower. Let’s face it. The Celtics got so damn lucky Holiday fell into their laps. They wouldn’t be this good if Malcolm Brogdon was still on the team.

I just want to know when people are going to start directing the blame at the player who deserves it. The NBA community continues to make the same mistake over and over again. These diva point guards aren’t winning players. If the Hawks were smart they would dump Trae Young yesterday. Russell Westbrook has been actively making teams worse for a decade. At some point, you guys need to understand Lame Time isn’t a winning player. Sure, Portland stinks but if Lillard was a true aircraft carrier they would have had way more success.

It is what it is. Stop falling in love with tiny point guards that can’t defend. They don’t win. Never have. Never will.
