Patrice Bergeron retired from the sport of hockey today and will go down as one of the greatest players in the history of the game. It was 19 years of excellence all in a Bruins uniform. During that time, Bergeron won a Stanley Cup, the Selke six times, and sports an insane 58.9% career win percentage in the faceoff dot. Bergeron isn’t just one of the best players in Bruins history. He’s one of the greatest athletes in Boston sports history who always took less to represent this city. Of course, there was always going to be one scumbag that tried to be a hater today. Welcome to the chat, Adam Jones. You should be slapped for your ignorant comments.

The first time, I ignored it. Jones had this to say a few months ago. Today, I can’t ignore it. Today should be about celebrating a Hall of Fame career. Instead, this scumbag had to be a hater and nobody should stand for it.

Is this guy serious? Anybody that thinks the Bruins are better without Bergeron is a complete and utter dope. By the way, this is Bergeron’s player card from last year. Keep in mind, this is his age 38 season. A complete monster still at 38.

I’m sorry but if your evidence as to why Bergeron isn’t great is because “he lost more game 7’s than he won” you shouldn’t be on the air. WEEI should be ashamed that they employ this idiot. Blaming Bergeron as the reason why the Bruins ever came up short is about as uneducated as it gets. Bergeron is way too nice of a guy to address these comments but the smart people know the truth. Adam Jones should be slapped for these comments and I’ll happily be the one to do it to defend Bergeron’s honor.

The sad truth is the only thing Jones did is expose himself for being a jealous little man that accomplished nothing in his life. Anyone hating on Bergeron today is an absolute piece of shit. Sorry not sorry.
