Can Wan’Dale Robinson Make An Impact For Fantasy In 2022?

Wan’Dale Robinson hasn’t landed in the best spot for fantasy in 2022. There are a lot of factors that might limit his production in fantasy. However, I’m not saying there’s no chance that he has impact. Or else, I wouldn’t write this post in the first place. But, I do think there is a chance that he could carve out a significant role in the Giants’ offense with so much uncertainty. Let’s look at the situation for Wan’Dale Robinson.

The WR room for the Giants is underrated in my opinion. Daniel Jones’ shortcomings has led some to believe that the Giants offense doesn’t have talent on there. But, that is not the case. The trio of Kenny Golladay, Darius Slayton, and Sterling Shepard isn’t bad at all. That might not be said of Kadarius Toney, but I digress. I think Wan’Dale has a solid shot to at least beat out Toney for WR4. But, it will come down if he can beat either Slayton or Shepard for WR3. Golladay should be the undisputed WR1. No matter how Robinson does, he won’t beat out Golladay for that spot on paper.

The WR room will be competitive, but ultimately, I think it all depends on Danny Dimes, who hasn’t thrown much dimes lately, only pennies. There is hope for the young QB with Brian Daboll coming into the HC spot. He comes from a successful offense with the Bills as their OC. Being a first time HC is concerning but I don’t think his ability to run an offense is. If Daboll struggles at all, it’ll be on the HC side of things, not quite the offense. You have to think though that he did have an anomaly in Josh Allen. But, what most people won’t acknowledge or realize is that Josh Allen was well coached to get to that point. There’s hope for Daniel Jones to be better, even if he won’t come close to Josh Allen.

Wan’Dale Robinson might be a late round find that proves to be awesome for you given where he was selected in your fantasy draft. However, as a dynasty fantasy player, there’s a lot more potential. Darius Slayton’s contract expires next year in 2023 and Sterling Shepard’s expires in 2024. Lining up Wan’Dale Robinson to be at least WR2 in 2025. But it might not take that long.

Depending on how deep your rosters go in your re-draft league and how many WRs you can have depends on how valuable Wan’Dale Robinson will be in your re-draft league. The deeper your league is, the more valuable he will be. If your league is relatively shallow, forget it. He might be a waiver-wire pickup if the Giants have injuries or he might be a guy you keep your eye on for next year. To answer the original question, yes he has a chance to carve out a role and have relevant fantasy impact for the Giants in 2022. Is it likely? Probably not.
