Von Miller: I talk to DeAndre Hopkins all the time, he wants to be a Buffalo Bill
Buffalo Bills edge rusher Von Miller has weighed in on the DeAndre Hopkins situation. Miller says that Hopkins would love to join Miller in Buffalo.
This offseason, Hopkins has been the talk of the town. The Arizona Cardinals have been looking to shop their star wide receiver all offseason, but trade talks have slowly simmered down. Hopkins, who is turning 31 in June, is not looking for a pay raise like many other receivers, but rather a new team.
Miller has been recruiting receivers to Buffalo all offseason. The veteran edge rusher in Miller says he has spoken to the three-time first-team All Pro receiver and says that Hopkins would like to play in Buffalo. Miller also acknowledged that he previously talked to Odell Beckham Jr. before he signed a contract with the Baltimore Ravens.
“I talk to Hop all the time and it’s kind of like the same thing with OBJ,” Miller said, via the Buffalo News, via Pro Football Talk. “You just never know until you know. Hop said he wanted to be a Buffalo Bill and you never know until you get that DeAndre Hopkins signature on a contract. I’m not sure what the circumstances are or what’s going on with that but I would love to see DeAndre Hopkins be here and I would love to have his skill set on our offense with Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs and Dawson Knox and Gabe Davis.”
With the NFL draft coming up on April 25-27, the Cardinals could yet again make a draft day trade including their All-Pro receiver.
