Vince Vaughn to Return in New ‘Dodgeball’ Sequel
A 2004 classic is beginning to make it’s way back into theaters, but in the form of a sequel. The popular comedy movie Dodgeball has been given the go ahead for a sequel by studio 20th Century Fox, with one of the original film’s stars returning for the movie.
Just Who is Returning For Dodgeball?
Actor Vince Vaughn, who starred as the original film’s main character Peter La Fleur, will be returning for the sequel. There is even talk that the actor will be producing the movie as well. While none of the other actors from the original Dodgeball have commented about returning for this sequel, the project has only just been announced, so there might be some casting picks coming up in the next few weeks.
There is also the possibility of new actors and actresses joining this Dodgeball sequel. But like with the original cast, it may be a while before we hear anything.
What Will This Dodgeball Sequel be About?
Like with the casting, the plot of this new movie is still largely unknown, with the only details released being that it will be a continuation of the previous story of Peter La Fleur’s gym. Although, with Vaughn producing, we might just get more of an idea of a plot soon. For now, such ideas are being kept under wraps by the studio and Vaughn.
What a New Dodgeball Movie Means
A new Dodgeball movie coming to theaters in the 2020s might make some people concerned about its quality. After all, in the current trend of never-ending sequels and reboots, quality has often been put second to many other aspects of a film. But perhaps people will be pleasantly surprised by this upcoming sequel. Only time will tell.
