Our partners at SimBull introduced a new contest this season called the “SimBull Six” and Karl Heiser and Adam Krieger will give you our picks each week. We had yet another brutal week last week that finished 1-5, making us 27-33 on the season so far. To date, Karl is 17-13 and Adam is 10-20. Here are our Week 12 picks.
Pick: Ohio State (-8.5)
I would have taken the Buckeyes with anything under 2 TDs here so I love that I can get this team at single digits. I just don’t know how Michigan is going to keep it close with the dynamic Ohio State offense. This is not the same Ohio State team that lost to Oregon early in the season, they are finally firing on all cylinders right now and its all OSU for me.
Pick: Alabama (-19.5)
It is clear this Alabama team isn’t as dominant as they have been in years past, but they are still Bama. If Bo Nix was in I would be all over the Tigers but I don’t think this Auburn team is pulling off an upset like this. Bama rolls in the Iron Bowl this year. I’ll lay the points.
Pick: Oklahoma State (-4)
Guess I am taking all favorites, and that makes me the biggest sucker on the internet, but Mike Gundy has a special team this year. Oklahoma got exposed as frauds a few weeks back and this is the best shot the Cowboys will have to make the CFB playoffs. I’ll lay the points here, lay the points on all three of these games and just hope I can at least go over .500.
Pick: Rams (+0.5)
LA is coming off a bye and Matt Stafford is due for a bounce back. The Packers have been hit with multiple injuries to their offensive line and Aaron Rodgers will play despite missing practice all week with a nagging toe injury. Give me the Rams in this one.
Pick: Ravens (-3.5)
Baker Mayfield has been playing hurt lately and hasn’t looked great. The Ravens will be getting Lamar Jackson back, are playing at home, and have one of the best run defenses in the NFL. I’ll pick them to handle Cleveland.
Pick: WFT (-1)
Even though Russell Wilson is back, Seattle’s offense has looked flat-out terrible. Washington has started to look better on the defensive side of the ball and Taylor Heinicke has been good enough. I think Washington will run all over the Seahawks at home and get a win.
