Vendetta Sports Does Not Participate In The Spread Of False Information, One Former Employee Feels Differently

The 2023 Spring intern class here at Vendetta is off to a rough start. The first pick in the draft quit and was gone within a week. Now we have our second casualty of the class, Quinten DeMotte. Chickster feels like he’s 0-100 on his intern draft selections at this point.

What I’m about to tell you somehow actually happened. I really would prefer not to do these posts, but I really must insist it’s absolutely necessary. I say that because there’s a bigger story behind the story. We may be unorthodox here at Vendetta, but I pride myself on creating the best possible sports product that exists. There may be your fair share of opinionated posts but we DO NOT participate in the spreading of false information. There is no fake news articles at this company. While crazy, we’re also professionals here at Vendetta.

One former employee (Quinten) apparently saw that differently and couldn’t fathom why.

In case you need more context, I am happy to provide the full story.

It was a rough first week for Quinten. People have struggled here during their initial week before and are still here now. It’s about how you’re willing to take the feedback and if you’re willing to make those adjustments. It’s not all about the X’s and O’s. You gotta have the Jimmy and Joe’s too. Some people can do the job. Some people can’t do the job. Some people can do the job but won’t. Quinten was probably the one in the middle but he wasn’t here long enough to find out if he was actually in category three.

As I said earlier, it was a rough start for Quinten. His Rudy Gobert post wasn’t great and took a lot of time and effort just to salvage. It’s not meant to be a slight. We all start at different spots and nobody is good at posting when they first start. Myself included. This is my first post. Go read it. It’s not great but I didn’t know what I was doing either. I taught myself how to do all of this and worked hard to build the product that currently exists.

I learned that you have to link sources. Including a picture might be a good idea. Oh, and we’re for sure not going to make news up.

Back to Quinten.

There wasn’t a lot of NBA news to cover today. I gave Quinten the option to do an overrated post. Pretty simple concept. X Player is Overrated. Tell us why. Quinten took that information and proceeded to craft a blog titled “Why The Bucks Can’t Win The NBA Finals With Jrue Holiday”. Except that actually already happened.

You’re reading that correctly. Quinten wanted to write an article titled: “Why The Bucks Can’t Win The NBA Finals With Jrue Holiday”. Blatantly false. They can. It’s already happened. It would be like saying the Chiefs can’t win the Super Bowl with Travis Kelce. They already did.

We here at Vendetta do not participate in the spreading of false information. Any person that can’t comprehend that does not belong at this company or anywhere in the media. Again, this wasn’t a rocket science post. All that needed to be done is player x is overrated. See here, Garrett just did one not long ago. How you can take that overrated prompt and turn it into Bucks can’t win the NBA Finals with Jrue Holiday makes me lose faith in humanity. What’s worse is Quinten tried to continue to argue with me about why he should be allowed to publish something that’s false. We can have opinions. This company will not spread false information.

I did not fire Quinten. He chose to quit after being sent to video edit NBA videos with Jarrod Prosser. Keep in mind he also applied to be a video editor and wants to write about the NBA… Apparently, not a good enough consolation prize. Would only accept being allowed to spread false information.

There is a Chinese Farmer moment to come out of this. Emma Brown can never hound me again for requesting writing samples from candidates. Emma hired and interviewed Quinten. Harder than it looks huh, Emma!

TCU WR Quentin Johnston is Terribly Overrated

Vendetta Sports Media has a zero tolerance policy for the spreading of false information. Anyone who is unwilling to abide by that policy will be let go. End of story.
