And we’re back! Welcome everyone to our NFL Week 2 betting lines and predictions. We (meaning myself) are out to a decent 9-7 start for the season after Week 1. If we can keep above .500 for the year, I would consider it a success. That also means I’m off to a small lead against the rest of the group. Can I keep it up? Let’s find out!
Records after Week 1:
Jackson: 9-7
Chick: 7-9
Griff: 4-12
Matt: 7-9
Garrett: 6-10
Eagles: Everyone
Our first matchup in our NFL Week 2 betting lines is an interesting one. The Vikings can usually keep it close, but then again, it’s Kirk Cousins in a primetime game. We’re all rocking with the Eagles in this one.
Packers: Everyone
All on the same page here again. The Falcons were not very impressive in week 1. The Packers played bad competition in the Bears, but I have more faith in Jordan Love than Desmond Ridder.
Bucs: Everyone
Getting a little weird that we’re all on the same page three picks into our NFL Week 2 betting lines and predictions. But the Bears are terrible and the Bucs might be good enough to get by here and somehow start 2-0. Who would’ve thought?
Lions: Jackson, Matt Seahawks: Chick, Garrett, Griff
We finally have some disagreement. The Lions were super impressive in Week 1 with a win over the Chiefs in Kansas City. Not easy to do. The Seahawks put up a big stinker but it’s still a little early to see what the Seahawks are. Regardless, Seattle will not have kneecaps after this game.
Bills: Everyone
Bills get revenge at the expense of Chick’s sanity. Not too much to this.
Titans: Matt Chargers: Jackson, Chick, Garrett, Griff
The run game for the Chargers looked awesome against Miami. The greatest shortcoming of the Chargers is, oddly enough, their defense. They have a ton of huge names and money tied up there, but have performed in the bottom half of the league in points allowed the past few years. On the bright side, their offense is so good, that all their defense has to do is get a few stops on Tennessee and they come away with this and the cover.
Texans: Matt Colts: Jackson, Chick, Garrett, Griff
The Colts looked pretty good against Jacksonville. Anthony Richardson played a decent game until his interception that iced the game. Houston was disappointing in Week 1 and will fall short in this battle of the rookie QBs.
Bengals: Everyone
The Bengals are also out for revenge for a horrible showing in Week 1. They get their revenge and then some.
Jaguars: Chick, Matt Chiefs: Jackson, Garrett, Griff
Travis Kelce is trending towards playing again and Chris Jones signed a one-year extension and will return. That was the main difference between a win and a loss last week and helps them win and cover this week.
Rams: Garrett 49ers: Jackson, Chick, Matt, Griff
It’s hard to gauge what the Rams are. Are they good or were the Seahawks frauds last year? We know the 49ers are good, and Brock Purdy is that guy. I think Purdy and the rest of the 49ers offense have another big game against Los Angeles.
Cardinals: Garrett Giants: Jackson, Chick, Matt, Griff
Listen, I know the Giants have not scored a point yet this season, but things can’t get much worse, right? If the Giants don’t cover, and God forbid they lose, then it might be time to tank for Caleb Williams at that point. If they don’t cover I will never bet on them the rest of the season. This is my oath.
Cowboys: Jackson, Chick, Matt, Griff Jets: Garrett
How bout them Boys right?? Listen, I never buy into the Cowboys hype, but man is that defense good. The Jets have a good defense too, but this game might have a final score of 16-6. Even if that’s the case, the Cowboys still cover, which is all I care about.
Broncos: Everyone
The Broncos have a plan. I won’t go as far as to say Denver looked good, but not terrible, even in a loss. This one was honestly kind of hard to decide, but somehow we all landed on the Broncos.
Dolphins: Everyone
Very close to the lock of the week for our NFL Week 2 betting lines and predictions. Miami’s offense looked awesome. Tua is also undefeated against the Patriots when he starts, so take that as you wish.
Panthers: Jackson Saints: Chick, Garrett, Matt, Griff
Looks like I’m the one breaking away from the pack on this pick. Bryce Young looked pretty good in his first start. There wasn’t much that impressed me against the Saints. I will say, that this is more my gut going with this pick, but scared money don’t make money. I’ll ride with Carolina on this one.
Steelers: Garrett, Matt Browns: Jackson, Chick, Griff
I think this will be a close. I’d hate to see the Steelers start 0-2, but Matt Canada’s offense is not looking great. The talent for Pittsburgh should be there, but coaching can really hold things back. Browns take this one.
