We are back ladies and gentlemen with the NFL Week 2 betting lines and predictions. Last week was a bit of a downer, I will admit. I had a small parlay cover some of my losses, but in all, I’m not down bad. If anything, we get it all back and then some this week. So, strap in and let’s get to the picks.
Jackson: 6-10
Garrett: 11-5
Matt: 8-8
Alex: 6-10
Chiefs: Alex, Garrett, Matt Chargers: Jackson
Both teams with great Week 1 wins. Patrick Mahomes was nearly flawless, and the Chargers pass rush looked dangerous. This is a hard call, but I think the Chargers give the Chiefs a bit more of a challenge and at least cover.
Ravens: Matt Dolphins: Jackson, Alex, Garrett
The Ravens started slow against a bad Jets team and ultimately won because of their defense. One could say the same about Miami’s win against New England, but if the Patriots are as good (they aren’t) as many in the media claim, Miami gets the edge on the spread for this one.
Browns: Everyone
The Jets are really bad. Cleveland actually played well last week with a heavy reliance on the run. Browns will magically start (and cover) 2-0 on the season.
Lions: Jackson, Garrett, Matt Commanders: Alex
Carson Wentz was hot, cold, and hot last week. But Detroit, at least my gut tells me so, is a better team in general than the Jags. Dan Campbell bites the ankles of the Commanders and covers.
Jags: Jackson, Alex, Matt Colts: Garrett
The Jags are a better team than the Texans, and the Colts tied with the Texans last week. Jacksonville, at a minimum, will cover.
Saints: Jackson, Garrett, Matt Bucs: Alex
Tom Brady and the Bucs always seem to struggle against the Saints. Some Winston magic late in the game could have the Saints cover, if not win outright.
Giants: Jackson, Garrett, Alex Panthers: Matt
The Giants are favorites in a game?? Brian Daboll has those boys playing football in New York. I have no faith in the Panthers at the moment, so let’s rock with the football Giants.
Steelers: Everyone
Even though T.J. Watt will be missing some time with an injury, the Steelers defense is still legit. The Pats offense, however, is not legit. Rock with the D. This game is honestly one of my biggest locks of any of the NFL Week 2 betting lines.
Rams: Everyone
Rams take out their anger from their Week 1 loss on the Falcons.
49ers: Matt, Alex Seahawks: Jackson, Garrett
This feels like way too high of a spread between one team that lost to a really bad Bears team and another team that held on to win against the Broncos. Bet the dawg on this one.
Cowboys: Matt Bengals: Jackson, Alex, Garrett
The Cowboys are without a quarterback and the Bengals want revenge. You do the math.
Texans: Everyone
Similar situation here. Just seems like way too high of a spread based on what we saw from both teams last season. Unless there is just a massive talent disparity, always go with the dawg.
There are lots of these types of spreads for the NFL Week 2 betting lines. In that case, the dawgs are going to eat.
Raiders: Jackson, Garrett, Matt Cards: Alex
Wow. Chick is the only one that doesn’t believe in his Raiders. For shame!
Packers: Alex, Matt Bears: Jackson, Garrett
Again, just a massive spread between that doesn’t seem like it belongs. The Bears at least showed they could fight, and the Packers looked pitiful last week. Take advantage while you can.
Bills: Everyone
This spread is different though. The Bills are legit, and the Titans have a lot to figure out.
Eagles: Matt Vikings: Jackson, Alex, Garrett
The Vikings are a real threat to win the NFC North and make a playoff run. The Eagles could win their division too, but the Vikings are the better team and cover while also winning outright.
