Update on ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin Wrestling at WWE WrestleMania 39 — Reports
WWE WrestleMania 39 is quickly approaching. Now, we are about two months away from the showcase of the immortals and only two matches have been announced. WrestleMania is where dream matches get turned into reality. Furthermore, history is made in this two-night event featuring the biggest stars in the WWE. However, there have been a lot of reports surrounding ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin wrestling at WrestleMania 39.
Well, the Texas Rattlesnake is reportedly not expected to wrestle.
‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin Not Expected to Wrestle
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Austin reportedly turned down wrestling at WrestleMania 39. Meltzer said, “he did in fact turn down wrestling at the show.”
Furthermore, WWE reportedly offered Austin matches for WrestleMania 39, however, he reportedly turned them down. ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin was reportedly offered to wrestle Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and just about anyone he wanted. But he seemingly rejected the offer to wrestle at WrestleMania 39. Meltzer noted that this situation is similar to The Rock’s since he doesn’t believe he would be able to get into in-ring shape by WrestleMania.
Now, this doesn’t mean he won’t appear on the show. Meltzer said, “Steve might be on the show. I mean, I wouldn’t be surprised at all.”
Many fans around the world applauded Austin for his match at WrestleMania 38, so this began fans to come up with a countless number of dream matches for the Texas Rattlesnake. But as it stands right now, it looks unlikely that he will wrestle at WrestleMania 39.
