UFC Vegas 75 Best Bets

UFC Vegas 75 is right around the corner which means there is a full slate of betting opportunities. The card features a handful of closely lined fights. Not to mention, there are quite a few fighters that are facing questions in their career. That adds an element of challenge to placing bets. Nonetheless, it is time to discuss three of the best bets you can make for UFC Vegas 75.

Jared Cannonier +105

The UFC Vegas 75 main event features a closely lined bout between Marvin Vettori and Jared Cannonier. Vettori currently sits as a -125 favorite while Cannonier is a +105 underdog. I will be placing my bet on Cannonier in this one.

I like Cannonier for a handful of reasons. To start, Cannonier does not get the credit he deserves for being a technical striker. He has shown the ability to switch stances and control the octagon at a high rate. Those technical skills are swept under the rug because of his power. That is a great thing. Cannonier has shown the ability to land powerful shots because he uses good technique to set them up.

In this fight, I expect Cannonier to back Vettori up against the fence and land powerful shots. Cannonier can counter Vettori’s clinch work with massive hooks on the inside. In Vettori’s last bout, Roman Dolidze found success using both of those strategies.

Cannonier, 39, has also shown that he can fight at a high pace for five rounds which is a requirement in a fight against Vettori.

The main concern on the Cannonier side is his age. The clock is ticking on his career. That does not get me off this bet since Cannonier started his MMA later in life. That will help him stay in the sport longer. The other issue is that Vettori has wrestling upside; however, he has not utilized his wrestling as much in his most recent fights.

Overall, I think the UFC Vegas 75 main event provides a solid betting opportunity with Cannonier.

Nikolas Motta +150

The second best bet for UFC Vegas 75 comes in a main card bout between Manuel Torres and Nikolas Motta. Torres currently sits as a -185 favorite while Motta is a +150 underdog. I like Motta in this fight.

Motta should win this fight at a high rate if he can get out of the first round. Torres is an aggressive striker with great power, though his issue is skill set and that he appears to have a lack of cardio. In previous wins, it looks like he begins to slow down quickly. If that happens in this bout, Motta can take over.

Additionally, Torres’ striking allows for a lot of opportunities to counter. He loves to throw wide hooks while throwing every shot at full power. On the flip side, Motta is a solid counter striker and has quicker hands. I think he can find Torres’ chin in striking exchanges.

As I said, Torres has the potential to finish this fight early. That is far from a guaranteed outcome, however. All in all, I am more than willing to bet Motta at +150 considering his cardio advantage alongside the stylistic matchup. It will certainly be the sweatiest beat during UFC Vegas 75. Still, I think it is a good bet.

Alessandro Costa via KO -105

The final best bet that is lined up for UFC Vegas 75 is Alessandro Costa to win via knockout against Jimmy Flick which is currently lined at -105. On the money line, Costa sits as a -250 favorite while Flick is a +200 underdog.

This play is strictly a fade against Flick. Flick came out of retirement in 2020 after calling it a career in 2023. That is never a good sign. On top of that, Flick is not very durable. In his last bout, he was finished in the first round by Charles Johnson.

Flick’s skillset is not highly sustainable either. For the most part, Flick relies on landing submissions. In this fight, if he looks to work BJJ off his back, Costa will have the chance to throw ground-and-pound. I do not think Flick can sustain that damage.

The durability concerns of Flick make me confident in taking Costa by knockout. I am a fan of getting this at a -105 price as well.
