UFC Singapore: Best Bets
Set your alarm clock, the UFC is heading to Singapore. The prelims are set for 5 a.m. ET with the main card following at 8 a.m. ET. If you are a part of the crew that is planning to start your morning with violence, you might as well get some bets down on the card too. Here are three of the best bets you can make for UFC Singapore.

Erin Blanchfield -148
UFC Singapore features quite a few fights that can be played straight on the money line. That begins with Erin Blanchfield who sits as a -148 favorite over Taila Santos. I understand that people see value on Santos at a +124 price, but I think Blanchfield gets a win in this spot.
I am a massive fan of Blanchfield’s skill set. The only issue is that the days of her being an underdog against Jessica Andrade are long gone. In all fairness, she proved to be an elite fighter in that contest, so it should not come as a surprise.
I think Blanchfield is the more technical grappler while Santos relies on strength. I think that leads to Blanchfield having a lot of success in rounds two and three once Santos begins to slow. Additionally, Blanchfield pressures and sets a high pace on the feet. That will wear Santos and force clinch scenarios. In the clinch, Blanchfield can land takedowns and work from the top.
I get the hesitancy on this play. Santos arguably beat Valentina Shevchenko in her last bout. This is a much different stylistic matchup, however. I am willing to bet on Blanchfield at UFC Singapore despite having to lay the chalk.
Chidi Njokuani +102
The second bet that I like on UFC Singapore is for Chidi Njokuani to beat Michal Oleksiejczuk. Njokuani is a slight underdog at a +102 price while Oleksiejczuk is a -122 favorite.
I am a fan of Njokuani’s skillset. He has proven to be a problem on the feet for any middleweight on the roster. Meanwhile, Oleksiejczuk is a pressure boxer who will attempt to strike with him for three rounds.
I will take Njokuani in a striking battle against the most unranked middleweights on the roster. The issue for Njokuani is that he has grappling defiecines. Well, so does Oleksiejczuk, so they are even in the realm. Actually, I’d give Njokuani is slight edge if grappling if I was forced to pick a side.
As far as striking goes, I think Njokuani finds success against Oleksiejczuk. The forward pressure of Oleksiejczuk will help to stifle Njokuani’s kicks; however, that will force him to walk into Njokuani’s powerful straights. If his forward pressure stops at any point, Njokuani will be able to blast him will kicks as well.
I think we are staring down this line on Njokuani because he is coming off two losses. The most recent of those losses came to Albert Duraev, a wrestler, while the other came to Gregory Rodrigues. The latter of the two should have been a win. Njokuani gave Rodrigues one of the most gruesome cuts in MMA history, but he could not get a stoppage because Rodrigues is one of the toughest guys on the UFC roster.
All this is to say I really like the idea of betting on Njokuani as an underdog at UFC Singapore.
Yusaku Kinoshita -142
My final bet for UFC Singapore is for Yusaku Kinoshita to beat Billy Goff. Kinoshita is a -142 favorite while Goff is a +120 favorite. I am willing to lay the chalk on Kinoshita.
I have liked Kinoshita since he earned a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series. In his fight on the show, he displayed a lot of power, the ability to feint, and solid stance switching. The issue is that Kinoshita was upset in his UFC debut. I am not out on Kinsohita, however. I will not overreact to a debut loss against Adam Fugitt, a tricky opponent.
On the flip side, Billy Goff is making his UFC debut. On Dana White’s Contender Series, he was dropped by a head kick and got a contact after mounting an absurd comeback.
I am not a massive fan of Goff because he is not very technical or skilled. Instead, he uses toughness and will to win fights. I commend him for that, but it can only take you so far. In this fight, Kinoshita should be able to land massive strikes while exposing Goff’s poor striking defense. That combination leads me to bet Kinoshita at UFC Singapore.
