UFC Sao Paulo Best Bets

From a betting perspective, UFC Sao Paulo is an interesting card. The event has several massive favorites, but there are still a few closely lined fights and quality prop bets. That provides us with a few great betting opportunities. Here are three of the best bets you can make at UFC Sao Paulo.

Caio Borralho ITD +100

The first bet that I like at UFC Sao Paulo is for Caio Borralho to beat Abus Magomedov inside the distance. That bet is currently lined at +100.

Borralho and Magomedov are two high-quality middleweights. It is an interesting fight and I think Borralho will impressively win. In my opinion, Borralho is one of the top prospects in the middleweight division mainly because of his BJJ. In fights, he is great at controlling position and working toward submissions.

In Magomedov’s most recent fight against Sean Strickland, it was made clear that he was not ready for the rankings. Despite having success on the feet, his cardio fell short.

In this fight, I think Magomedov could find success on the feet early; however, I doubt that his cardio holds up for three rounds. If that is the case, Borralho will be able to land a takedown and find a finish on the ground. At +100, I will be betting him to find a finish.

Rodolfo Vieira -108

The second bet that I like for UFC Sao Paulo is for Rodolfo Vieira to beat Armen Petroysan. The bout is closely lined with Vieira sitting at a -108 price tag while Petroysan sits at -112.

This bout is a clear striker versus grappler matchup. Vieira is a high-level BJJ practitioner while Petroysan has a kickboxing background. I am siding with the grappler because Petroysan does not have great takedown defense. In the past, when he’s been taken down, he finds success because he can work back to his feet. That is less likely against Vieira because he is outstanding at controlling positions from the top.

I am concerned with Vieira’s cardio. Typically, I prefer to bet against fighters with bad gas tanks. The difference in this matchup is that Vieira could land a quick submission or rack up control time without expending a lot of energy.

All things considered, taking Vieira to win at -108 is a quality bet for UFC Sao Paulo.

Vitor Petrino ITD +110

The final bet that I like at UFC Sao Paulo is for Vitor Petrino to finish Modestas Bukauskas. That bet is currently priced at +110.

Petrino has consistently impressed me throughout his UFC tenure. On Dana White’s Contender Series, he looked great and parlayed that success into a 2-0 UFC record. Thus far into his career, Petrino has proven to be a great athlete who’s physical. This gives him power on the feet and a strength advantage in grappling exchanges.

Overall, I believe that Petrino is the better fighter whenever this fight takes place. At the same time, he has the finishing upside in striking or grappling exchanges. That makes this a quality bet for UFC Sao Paulo.
