Tyreek Hill Uses Madden As His Scouting Technique
Tyreek Hill has some serious respect for the people that come up with the Madden ratings. So much respect that he doesn’t even need to watch film. He just trusts the ratings people to do their jobs.
Hill is obviously one of the best wide receivers on the planet. The secret sauce might be Hill’s trust in Madden. The Dolphins wide receiver says he scouts cornerbacks by simply playing Madden.
“I go to the EA rosters then I scroll down and see what their awareness is, their speed and their strength, and that’s how I get a good tell on them,” the Miami Dolphins wide receiver told reporters when discussing his matchups with cornerbacks.
Who am I to question Tyreek Hill? If Hill is this accomplished by firing up the Madden machine, why should we question him? His technique is clearly working.
A season ago, Hill notched 119 receptions for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns. That was with Tua Tagovailoa missing a chunk of the season too. The seven year pro has nothing left to prove and has already hinted at an early retirement. The former Oklahoma State product has made the Pro Bowl in every season of his career. He’s also a four-time first team All-Pro Selection and has a Super Bowl ring with Kansas City.
Quick side note: This is probably the most respect that the Madden rankers have ever gotten. I had an issue with one player rating that you can check out here if you’re interested.
