If you’re reading this, the odds that you own a Paramount+ account are probably low. I don’t blame you. I just got access to it recently. However, if you have ever considered buying an account for Paramount+, Tulsa King is absolutely one reason to jump head first.
I’ll do my best to limit spoilers but there’s no need to bury the lede here. This show is awesome!
The show goes like this. Sylvester Stallone plays the role of a mafia character (Dwight Manfredi) who just spent the last 25 years in prison. Manfredi eventually gets out of prison and is basically given the same treatment as Napoleon when he gets sent to Elba. Go set up shop in Tulsa and start kicking up to the family.
Once he arrives in Tulsa, things become very interesting.
I’m not even going to lie, this is one of my favorite shows I’ve ever seen. It’s funny with enough violence mixed in. It’s like a mafia version of the Bad News Bears and it somehow works. I like the fact that it’s funny and the show isn’t predictable. There were a few curveballs I didn’t see coming.
I’ve seen the first two seasons. Word on the street is the series has been renewed to continue for an additional two seasons beyond the two that are already out. Who knows how many we’ll get beyond that but I can’t stress enough how good this show is. It’s so good I rewatched it again for a second time.
Feel free to comment because I can’t imagine anyone actually hates this show if they’ve seen it.
