Tua Tagovailoa Fires Back At Ryan Clark For Odd Critique

I said this in the Slack today but I genuinely believe this. The amount of unwarranted hate that Tua Tagovailoa gets ranks number one in the NFL history of quarterbacks. The more I really think about it, the more I’m starting to feel like Tua. Clearly, talented; can’t ever get proper respect.

Ryan Clark had a weird rant on NFL Live today. The only way I can describe it is by saying what I said in the first paragraph. I truly can’t remember a quarterback getting this much hate for nonsense ever.

Just watch the video.

This is the problem I have with people like Ryan Clark. They hate away but won’t ever say anything when they’re wrong. Trey admits when he’s wrong about quarterbacks. People can say whatever they want about Tua. He has a lot to prove still. There is no question about that. However, nobody in the history of the NFL has ever sucked and led the NFL in yards per attempt and passer rating. Mitch Trubisky isn’t leading the NFL in yards per attempt. Tua did though. I encourage you to watch Jackson’s Tua video. None of which have said a word about how wrong they were.

Furthermore, isn’t this someone that we should be rooting for given the head trauma this guy has had? That’s not even including the hip injury that probably would have ended his career without the advances in medical science. You can have your doubts about Tua still but to do it in this mocking manner? Shame on you, Ryan Clark.

Also, wasn’t the whole point of Tua packing on weight so that he had a better chance when getting hit this season? We can’t have it both ways. Does the guy really look out of shape? It’s been pretty widely reported that Tua has been doing a lot of jiu-jitsu training.

There is one positive that I love spicy Tua. It’s good to see the Dolphins quarterback have a chip on his shoulder entering the season. I like angry Tua (I have him in fantasy this year). This rant had it all. He killed Clark with class while representing his culture. He also had just the right amount of angry in the comeback too.

Again, you can have your own opinion on Tua. Let’s just be better about it than this. The bar has to be higher than the cheese Clark just pulled. That was trash.
