Triple H to undergo major backstage role change after Endeavor WWE acquisition

Triple H has been on the WWE’s Board of Directors since 2015, but after the merger, this will no longer be the case.

WWE’s merger with Endeavor Group Holdings, Inc. is set to be finalized after the upcoming Payback PLE in September 2023. Vince McMahon shockingly sold off the company for $9.3 billion after decades of owning and running the promotion. Due to this, many internal changes will be made, which includes the Board of Directions. Triple H notably rose in ranks on the corporate stage after years of wrestling in WWE, and it seems he’ll be one of the biggest removals.

According to Fightful, a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing announcement earlier this month alleges that Triple H will no longer be on the Board of Directors.

Since 2015, The Game has helped shape WWE into what it is today. Notably, his management of the NXT brand led to it becoming a developmental platform instead of a game show. The veteran WWE Champion also brought in numerous names that have since become top stars.

While he might not be on the WWE Board of Directors after September, Triple H’s duties as Head of Creative will go unaffected. He will likely continue to book both SmackDown and RAW going forward and be responsible for the major outcomes of bouts and storylines. A revised Board of Directors will instead oversee operations for both WWE and the UFC, which will both fall under Endeavor Group Holdings, Inc.

Triple H responded to Elon Musk seemingly taking interest in learning pro wrestling

Elon Musk’s high-profile fight with Meta owner Mark Zuckerburg has been a crossover match many have been anticipating. For quite some time it seemed like the fight would not happen at all until Musk caught wind of Roman Reigns’ recent match with Jey Uso at Summerslam. In response, Elon jokingly claimed he’d use wrestling as his “fighting style” which drew the attention of Triple H.

In response to Musk’s post, Triple H offered his services to the billionaire and harkened back to his days in D-Generation X:

It’s unclear whether or not Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerburg will eventually have their fight, but Musk claims the bout will be live-streamed on X. WWE fans will notably go wild if the Tesla CEO uses the DX taunt or Triple H’s Pedigree in his fight with Zuckerburg.
