Trey and Scott team up to knock me out of the NHL Fantasy League so I’ve been listening to a little Luda for inspiration.
“But I gotta, know what-what’s your fantasy”
“What’s Your Fantasy” by Ludacris
Goaltending and defense in the North (Canadian) Division would be a nice start Luda if you can make it happen. Honestly, if it was Christmas (or even a birthday) that would be my one request. No PS5, I’m not greedy, just some actual defense in the NHL division that has put up over 800 goals from seven teams so far this season. I need it as Trey and Scott team up to knock me out of the NHL Fantasy League.
Now sure, some of this has to do with the fact I’m playing Scott in the Fantasy League this week, but it’s been killing me all year. It’s just more prevalent now I’m playing against a team that is top-heavy in talent from the Canadian Division. He has Auston Matthews, John Tavares, and Zach Hyman from the Toronto Maple Leafs alone, while also adding Jeff Petry, Pierre-Luc Dubois, and Tomas Tatar from the Montreal Canadiens and Winnipeg Jets.
As of Thursday morning, I’m trailing by 32 points, but with the Colorado Avalanche scheduled to play the Anaheim Ducks on Friday and Sunday, I am expecting major beatdowns and points. As long as those points come from Mikko Rantanen, Gabe Landeskog, Nazem Kadri, Cale Makar, or Devon Toews I’m good. Given the Avalanche’s 8-3 beatdown by the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday night they will be looking to reassert their dominance.
Problem is that goaltending has been ass (as so delicately put by Emma in the most recent ‘That’s Some Cheese’) especially in the North Division. This means the chances of me closing the gap are slim to none, which is exactly what Scott and Trey want. I think Trey is still a little hurt from the ass-whooping I gave him last week. Plus he needs Scott’s help to make the playoffs.
As the only Canadian participating if Scott loses he will be deported, although as a Toronto Maple Leafs fan he’ll more than likely lose in the first round. But if Trey and Scott team up on me that’s fine, I guess I’m rooting for a Serenity comeback from now until Sunday. Let’s go Snow Fluerys, keep me in this race!
