Transfer Neymar and Vidal Moving

Barcelona FC may have some big moves going on this season. Although they are tight on finances because of the pandemic, they have some transfer options. A player swap would be the most likely option. Some of Barca’s transfer news deals with Neymar and Arturo Vidal moving.

Neymar

In 2017, Neymar moved to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on a world record £198 million deal. Neymar has done well at PSG, but not as well as predicted.

Last year Neymar and PSG fans wanted him to leave the club. However, that did not happen. Neymar still wants to go back to Barca to reunite with Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique.

PSG may feel the heat to transfer him this season. Neymar’s contract is due to expire in 2022, and Neymar doesn’t want to renew it. That means that by the end of the season, he could walk away free. If PSG were to transfer him this season, they could still make a profit on him.

The most likely move would be Barca. But they may not be able to afford it. So Barca would most likely offer a player swap. They could choose between Ivan Rakitic, Philippe Coutinho, Samuel Umtiti or Ousmane Dembele.

Barca president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, wants Neymar back. However, he doesn’t think that PSG is willing to let him go just yet.

Arturo Vidal

Rumors are going around about Inter Miami FC wanting to contract Vidal. According to Spanish Sports outlet Don Balon, Miami is highly interested in having Vidal on the team.

This isn’t the first time that they’ve reached out to the 33-year-old Chilean. He is at the age of retiring from European football. Major League Soccer would be the next most likely move besides full retirement.

However, Vidal could stay with Barca for a little longer. Since the reboot, he has started seven of the nine games. He’s been a vital part of Barca’s offense beside Messi.

Vidal has had over 100 appearances for Chile’s national team and has been in two World Cups. He has been apart of many league winning teams like Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus and Bayern Munich.

Barca is also gearing up for the August restart of the Champions League. They will enter the second leg match against Napoli to determine if they go farther.

It is possible that Vidal would join Miami. However, he might stay with Barca a little longer.
