The Toronto CNE may be coming to an end this year but it’s definitely not over. The CNE is a wildly popular carnival that has pulled in over a million people a year since 1879. It’s been happening for 144 years now and it has no plans of stopping, and it’s the best place to have fun with friends by exploring the festival and what it has to offer.

There are rides, games and shows, among other things, but one of the best aspects of the CNE is the greasy food that you have to get when at a carnival. From blooming onions to ice cream waffles, the CNE will always have new and exciting food for CNE lovers to try! 5. Tiny Tom Donuts

Of course, a Tiny Tom donut will always be iconic. This is the perfect greasy and sugary treat to satisfy a sweet tooth. They’re warm and perfectly sugared. This stand always has long lines so plan accordingly! 

4. Ice Cream Waffle

The ice cream waffle has been a staple CNE treat for 75 years now and it’s by far one of the cheapest and most delicious things to snack on while walking around the CNE. It’s small and easy to grab-and-go.

The Thanksgiving poutine is a great twist on the classic poutine. It has all the essentials such as fries, gravy and cheese curds. However, it also has turkey, squash and other Thanksgiving treats, with the best definitely being the stuffing. It tastes like a holiday!
