When the Cincinnati Bengals benched Andy Dalton, I laughed at them. Andy Dalton is no world beater. However, if you compare Dalton to Ryan Finley, than Andy Dalton looks like Tom Brady. Ryan Finley sucks. I tried to tell you that a year ago. It didn’t take the Bengals too long to figure that out. Cincinnati has handed the starting job back to Andy Dalton after watching Ryan Finley stink up the joint the last three weeks.
Cincinnati correspondent, Ben Baby of ESPN was the first to report the switch:
Tough last name ^. There’s no way I’m going through life with my last name as Baby. That shit would get changed as soon as possible. Probably why he fits right in at ESPN. Anyway, back to the story.
Look, sometimes I sound like a broken record but I have to get the point across. It’s a miracle Ryan Finley got drafted. There was no way to watch Ryan Finley play and college and think that he had any real NFL future. I broke that down in a post a year ago. You can read it here. In three games as a starter, Finley completed 47 percent of his throws and never threw more than 193 yards in any start. This wasn’t hard to see coming.
At the end of the day, I guess the switch doesn’t really matter. The Bengals are 0-11 and have a two game lead on any other team for the worst record in the NFL. This team is too bad that they won’t win regardless. Now we will see who the Bengals take with the first pick in the draft.
