Tommy DeVito Should Not Be On An NFL Roster

Can we just have an honest conversation about something? Can someone explain to me why Tommy DeVito is on an NFL roster? Can someone explain why Tommy DeVito took a singular snap in an NFL game? Let’s just call it what it is. The DeVito thing should be viewed as an absolute embarrassment for the entire Giants franchise and there is no way on planet earth that Joe Schoen has any idea how to evaluate talent. Bottom line, end of story.

I truly don’t know what to say because if Schoen and the Giants are willing to even carry DeVito on their roster, he should be fired immediately. What else can I possibly say? DeVito doesn’t just suck. He’s unplayable even if he were dropped into college football. We’re talking about a guy that could never win a starting job at Syracuse. Then had to transfer to Illinois as a 24-year-old and could barely throw a forward pass. DeVito’s career highlights in college is being able to throw for 15 touchdowns in 13 games as an old redshirt senior. What about that possibly makes you think that guy should even get selected in the CFL Draft?

I don’t think people truly understand how big of a stain this should be considered on the Giants franchise. DeVito was actually mentioned in one of my stock report posts during a game in 2021. 13-31 and averaged 3.6 yards per attempt against UNC. Again, if that name is even on your radar as an NFL franchise, you don’t have a singular clue what you’re doing.

We all saw what happened in DeVito’s first action in the NFL. The guy couldn’t throw a forward pass. DeVito went 2/7 with -1 yard. That’s a real stat total.

I was flabergasted that this actually happened. I don’t know how else to convey my thoughts other than the fact that Joe Schoen should be punched in the face for humiliating this franchise. That’s all there really is to say. I promise I could do better.
