Don La Greca goes off on Giants OT Evan Neal

The New York Giants have had an awful start to their season and the players and fans are feeling it. Offensive tackle Evan Neal was heard on microphones making comments about the fans and then doubled down in an interview on Wednesday.

“Why would a lion concern himself with the opinion of a sheep? The person that’s commenting on my performance, what does he do? Flip hot dogs and hamburgers somewhere?” Neal asked.

Don La Greca took offense to this and proceeded to snap on The Michael Kay Show on ESPN New York, shouting while firing shots back at Neal.

“I’d rather have a guy that’s flipping hamburgers block than your piece of garbage ***,” La Greca shouted. “Who the hell are you to talk to fans like that, you piece of garbage?”

Here is the full rant:

La Greca continued his rant by explaining his issue with these comments and that Giants fans don’t need him.

“These Giants fans were here before you, and they’ll be here after your sorry *** is cut,” La Greca said. “What a piece of human trash.”

“Don’t stop booing him,” he added. “If he goes to the Pro Bowl, boo him. If he wins a Super Bowl, boo his sorry ***. Screw that guy!”

This situation and the anger in La Greca’s voice sums up the Giants’ season so far. This team is struggling badly and it is hard for the fans to continue watching this team collapse.

It is extremely unfair for players to make comments like this toward fans and a highly unprofessional move by Neal. He does realize that the fans who buy jerseys and attend games help pay his salary, right?

La Greca spoke on behalf of a lot of fans and fully displayed the frustrations that come with being a New York Giants fan. This is a terrible look and only time will tell if the Giants can turn this awful start to the season around.
