Reality television has taken a crazy turn in the last decade. MTV has been at the forefront of that genre since the early 2000s with shows like True Life. Tommy Cheeseballs has finally resurfaced for the first time since his episode premiered in November of 2003.
Reality TV, like it or not, is in the heart of the American culture. Millions of people watch a guy or girl choose from a group of fifty potential life partners. The Bachelor series idolizes people looking for love in a fake, inorganic way, but shows like Jersey Shore and True Life had different ways of looking for the same end goal.
In 2003 Cheeseballs was featured on the episode of True Life where they went down to the Jersey Shore and a share house. Share houses are common where I live, but in case it’s an unfamiliar term, I’ll explain. A group of usually 10-12 people chip in and rent a house for the summer, so they have a place to go party by the beach on weekends. Oftentimes people drive down Friday afternoons and leave Jersey Sunday night, and the time in between is usually filled with tons of alcohol and clubs.
Cheeseballs is an OG reality TV star but went into hiding after how the production team portrayed him. He was so funny, authentic and stood out to so many people after JUST ONE EPISODE. He was in hiding for almost two decades, and all of a sudden he re-surfaced after posting a TikTok.
Eventually, he found himself on Cameo and then put himself right in the middle of the Rico Bosco and Jeff Nadu saga at Barstool. He then went on the Dave Portnoy Show, and Portnoy hinted that the company might hire Tommy Cheeseballs.
