Tom Brady is grateful for his former head coach and football genius Bill Belichick. Brady is playing in his tenth Super Bowl this upcoming Sunday, but it is his first without Belichick on the sidelines.
While Bill Belichick is sitting inside watching film and preparing for the upcoming draft, his former quarterback is doing his usual routine pre Super Bowl week, media day. In a press conference with reporters Brady gave praise to his former coach.
“I have a great relationship with him, I’m just incredibly grateful for what he’s meant in my life as a coach. He’s everything you could ask for as a player. I loved my time there. I had two incredible decades there. My football journey took me to a different place, and I certainly could have never accomplished the things in my career without his support and teachings. Incredible coach and mentor for me. I’ve had a lot of those in my career, but obviously he is at the top of the list”
Brady to Jenna Laine of ESPN
I am sure that is what Patriot fans want to hear as Tom is chilling in the warm Florida weather. Brady gets to add another first to his accolades, as the Bucs are the first ever team play in their home stadium for the Super Bowl.
Not that any of that came as a shocker to New England fans, they all know that their head coach is the best of all time. Everyone seems to agree on that except Trey Daubert, who said on his podcast That’s Some Cheese that it could be a debate between Bill and Andy Reid for that honor.
TL//DR: Tom Brady is grateful for his former head coach Bill Belichick, despite whatever rumor you have have heard.
