Sarah Nurse made her TNT broadcasting debut last night and my only takeaway is I need to see more. If TNT is smart, they will just hire her full time including any and all future Stanley Cup playoff games. She was absolutely perfect on the desk next to Paul Bissonnette.
Just check out this exchange here. It’s fantastic.
It’s all there. She’s funny, speaks well, doesn’t overstep and the conversations feel natural and educated. She also did all of this in heels. I’m not going to pretend to know what that’s like but I guarantee it’s way more graceful than I would have looked in heels.
Oh, and she’s nasty on the ice too. Did anybody else see that goal against Igor Shesterkin? As Biz said, this is Canadian royalty. She’s a damn good hockey player in her own right.
You have to give TNT credit. Their NBA Show with Shaq and Charles Barkley is already really good. The NHL team might even have a leg up on that crew. Since Biz has been added, you knew the NHL crew was going to get a boost. Adding Nurse to the squad? Yeah, the producers of this show got it right.
If it’s not official already then it needs to be now. Make Sarah Nurse a full time add for the TNT broadcast.
Side note: For those curious about the future fight between Biz and Ryan Reaves, the two actually spoke last night after the Wild pummeled the Blues. It’s a funny interview even if it didn’t turn as toxic as maybe some would have hoped for.
