Tip Reiman 2024 NFL Draft Profile

We’re getting into the meat and potatoes of the tight end position with Tip Reiman. Screw intro paragraphs! Let’s get right into the 2024 NFL Draft profile for the former Illinois product.

Looking for a pure blocking tight end? Reiman has you covered. Checks in at 6-foot-5, 271, but that doesn’t really tell the story. He murdered the sled at the Combine. He’s a Y tight end that will do more than his part blocking. Also, is clearly a hard worker who had no recruiting profile. Played linebacker in college. During his college career, Reiman got his start as a walk on and eventually became a team captain in 2023.

Not exactly a ton of tape to work with. More so not a ton of stuff can go on the highlight reel. Has 41 career receptions in three years at Illinois. Had his best year in 2023 going for 203 yards and three scores. Never going to wow as a pass catcher. He’s there to be a pain in the ass while helping in the run block department. Ripped out 28 reps on the bench, which was the top mark for all tight ends.

Is there any untapped potential as a receiver? That’s the real question that should determine his stock. I wouldn’t totally get your hopes up but there are reasons to be optimistic. Actually ran the gauntlet drill well at the Combine and isn’t overly slow posting a 4.64 during the 40. Just has no real juice. Can’t separate at all and drops are going to be a major issue or at least were during the second half of the drills at the Combine.

Probably an undrafted player for me but have no issues adding him as a priority free agent. Maybe he will be so good as a blocker that he carves out a real niche at the NFL level. He’s just so limited as a real pass catcher that it’s hard to see any real draft day value here.
