Thomas Dimitroff: Falcons’ Front Office Didn’t Want Bill Belichick

Does anybody remember what I recently wrote about Terry Fontenot? The timing of this next story is interesting. I’ll just leave it at that. Thomas Dimitroff has a connection to the Falcons and Bill Belichick having worked for both. Dimitroff said what everyone with a brain already knew. The Falcons’ front office didn’t want to hire Belichick because they would have been exposed for being dumb inside the building.

“But in the end, there was an inner group in there, right?” Dimitroff said, via Boston.com. “Look, any time Bill goes into an organization, you would assume whatever your thoughts are about him, he deserves the right to run it. . . . Maybe there was a group inside the building who kept pushing back to Arthur. Let’s call it the way it is. Any organization wants to keep their world, right? Presidents want to keep their world.”

“I think everyone looks at it like, ‘Yeah, but when you get someone like [Belichick] in there, it’s going to be overhauled eventually,” Dimitroff said.

Dimitroff also made it pretty clear that Rich McKay wasn’t going to be an issue. We all know he’s a leach that’s going to keep his CEO job forever.

“You saw the discussion about Rich McKay, right?” Dimitroff said. “Rich is very talented. He knows a lot. The fact that he and Bill would have to work together — or not work together — wasn’t going to happen. And Arthur had made a bold statement saying, ‘That was not an issue.’”

I tried to warn you. The Falcons care about winning. Just as long as it involves everyone keeping their committee approach. They care more about guarding their desks.

Poor, Arthur Blank. Guy isn’t smart enough to recognize the problem and he continues to listen to the wrong people. I kinda feel bad for the guy. Must suck to not be smart enough to know you’re a puppet that’s only good for handing out checks.
