The MoMo House: The Best Momo’s in Toronto

The MoMo House in Toronto has some of the best Momo you can find!

This quaint shop sits at the edge of Bay and Critchley Street. Although it’s small, it can fit a few tables for you and your friends to dine in and enjoy steaming hot Momos fresh from the kitchen. All you have to do is order from the counter and they bring your food within minutes! The staff is friendly and will immediately make you feel right at home; both the staff and the warm doughy Momos bring a great sense of comfort to your experience!

The Menu:

The menu is simple. It consists of Specialty Momos, soups, sides and beverages. The Specialty Momo is the most popular, rightfully so.

There are six delicious flavors to choose from: Tsel, Jhol, Chat, Chilly, Butter, and Kurkure. Each one comes with a unique twist, perfectly separating each flavor apart. There’s the Butter Momos that have a butter chicken sauce on top for when you’re craving a warm comforting spicy meal. The Chat Momos with a tamarind yogurt sauce topped with fresh onions and tomato is perfect for when you’re craving something more fresh with a tangier bite.

The Kurkure Momo has a special layer of cornflakes for a crunchier bite, and the Jhol Momos with roasted soya beans and Sesame seed sauce for a nuttier bite. Each flavor is special in its own way and gives you the perfect momo experience you’ve been looking for. With each flavor, you get to have your choice of filling of paneer, mixed vegetables, potato cheese, chicken, beef, or pork.

Each momo is equally as delicious, but my favorite was the Butter Momo with chicken filling. This is the ultimate comfort meal. The butteriness from the bright orange sauce perfectly compliments the meaty chicken filling. The dough surrounds the filling with a deliciously chewy texture that leaves you wanting more! I would definitely recommend ordering the Butter Momos next time you come to The MoMo House!
