Taylor Elgersma 2025 NFL Draft Profile

We’re keeping things moving with the 2025 NFL Draft profile series on the quarterbacks who have zero buzz. Taylor Elgersma fits that list to a T. I can’t imagine we’re going to take long on this one considering he played college football in CANADA.

This is the thing about Taylor Elgersma. I don’t get paid nearly enough to watch 60 hours of tape on Canadian college football. Donate a sizeable check to the website and I’ll gladly do that for you. He won the equivalent of the Heisman trophy in Canada. It’s called the Hec Crighton Award. Credit to him for doing that.

This is also the thing. We have zero track record of a quarterback who didn’t play college football in the states going on to be a stud at the next level. It’s also pretty difficult to even find his stats. I had to go to the Wilfrid Laurier (somehow a real college) website to find them. A 35-11 TD to INT ratio with seven more rushing touchdowns is cool, I guess. It also probably means nothing given the level of competition.

I think in the sake of keeping things moving here, I saw plenty at the Senior Bowl (day one, day two, day three). It wasn’t even the fact that he was bad. The guy never looked like he belonged compared to the other quarterbacks on the field. That’s the entire point of events like the Senior Bowl. It’s a process of elimination. When you don’t look like you belong next to your peers, it’s usually a bad sign. His entire week of practice was painfully rough although I’ll say he performed better during the game itself.

No Combine invite for our guy Elgersma either. Not sure why I said our guy because I’m very much out on this whole thing. Frankly, I’m not sure what he brings to the table outside of being tall at 6-foot-6.

Don’t think there’s much to say left beyond the fact that Elgersma is very much an undrafted player. I can’t imagine any team actually pulls the trigger on drafting him.
